this park is awesome, it is connected perfectly with the wide nature, forest, creeks, small waterfall and serious hills. Love it, I would hike and bike here at any time.

Verkiai Regional Park (not to mix with its small part – Verkiai manor park) is a large area in the northern outskirts of Vilnius. It is easily accessed by public transport. To reach the closest object – Calvary road, takes ca. 20 minutes bus ride from the centre (bus No 1G), more remote parts, like Verkiai manor or Žalieji ežerai and the surrounding woodlands will take about an hour, including bus change. The park is excellent destination for nature lovers because it bears fragments of good natural woodland on a hilly relief and a beautiful lookout towards river Neris from Verkiai mansion park. There will be something for architecture lovers, because Verkiai manor complex is a a lovely example of neoclassical style, a creation of famous Lithuanian architect Laurynas Stuoka Gucevičius and two churches - Jeruzalės and Trinapolio are two more (of many in Vilnius) baroque churches. The Calvary road will be interesting for piligrims and for these wishing comparatively comfortable stroll in nature. Note, however, that of all the mentioned buildings only Jeruzalė church is to some extent open to visitors. Verkiai manor and Trinapolio church can be admired only from the outside.
