Located on the outskirts of Vilnius but still within the city limits Belmontas is a great place to hold events or just have a relaxing walk on their grounds, part of the Pavlinio regional park, it is surrounded by lush forest and has the added advantage of having a beautiful waterfall and the site of the original Belmot mill which was built in 1838 and finally stopped all operations in the mid 20th century.
All the remaining buildings were lovingly and beautifully restored to their original state and carefully upgraded to include some modern luxuries.
I regularly spend hours during the summer reading while sitting on the banks of the Vilnia river, there is always somewhere to grab a coffee or even lunch if you so fancy. I would gladly recommend this location for events and even just to relax.

Belmontas is a very nice regional park, very close to Vilnius.
There is a river, some lakes, hills, forests and a couple of well maintained paths.
It's nicer during the nice seasons, but also in the wintertime it can be enjoyed.
Rather popular.

I am more of a nature then city person, so Belmontas was a nice getaway from the city. Further out, so you need a car. Probably some public transport goes there too. Plenty of free parking.
Hiking rails, activities (zip line, archery, other sports), restaurants, caffees, parks, ...
Well put together, renovated, some parts still under construction.
Good place to visit.

Belmontas Park is a must to visit when in Vilnius. It’s a beautifully designed park that is huge. It involves water, plants, trees and old stuff. You’ll find an old drinking water vendo machine from the Soviet time. I didn’t see other people try it but we did for curiosity. The restaurant at the park has a nice location by the falls. Although the falls is not big, it is nevertheless waterfalls. In summer, this place is packed. We didn’t have the chance to eat in the restaurant because it was full and we didn’t like to wait. Parking is free and can accommodate a lot of cars.

How to get there from vilnius by public transportation
Written 19 September 2016
I don't think there is a bus that goes there. I took a taxi and it was about 7 or 8 euros. Taxis in Vilnius are pretty cheap if you call the dispatcher or use a smart phone app like Taxify, e-taxi, etc., to order the taxi. If you hail one on the street or even at a stand they will almost always charge you 2 - 3 times the going rate even if they use the meter because they will set it to charge a higher fare.
