We walked and walked around the city. It was nice to be in a city that was as laid back. There were lots of locals just visiting, eating, knitting, even singing. The hard part is walking on the cobblestones! The people were very friendly

The old part of the city can best be explored walking. The area has a German feeling with a local touch. Some modern works of art are integrated harmoniously in the old streets.

The old city gives a good impression of Klaipeda as an old trade and fishermans' village in the past. Not suitable for women on stilletto's
