When walking around the old town of Kaunas, it is well worth visiting Kaunas Castle. It is situated in a lovely pleasant spot and when we visited there were plenty of families and happy children. There is a modest fee to see this beautifully restored...More

Beautiful historical site in the heart of Kaunas old town. Some cultural events are helding here in summer and spring. A nice place to have a walk here as it situated near the river and there is a park nearby.

The castle been refurbished recently, it’s worthy the visit, lots of interesting stuff to see. Surrounded by a nice park and some good restaurants.

I really enjoyed walking around the site - plenty of nice architecture, green spaces, people just having family time. Also great place for photos and finding little hidden gems. The castles itself looks great and the rehabilitation seems to have been done quite well.

Not much is left from the original castle. The single tower makes a nice photo and there is a small stretch of preserved wall. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.
