The old town in Bratislava was nice but very busy. It was very enjoyable seeing all the old buildings and finding out about themvut it does in love a lot of walking or you get the old buses round the town.

We celebrated our 49th anniversary at a lovely café in old town in Bratislava. Other than the weather being warmer than expected, it was an absolutely delightful night.

Arrived by train from Vienna for a day visit. Small nice historic town. We were impressed by the modesty and size of government buildings in comparison to Vienna.

An old and formerly important city in the Austro-Hungarian Empire with close ties to Vienna (Lizt and Mozart both gave concerts as child prodigies, and Beethoven was a frequent visitor). The old town is pedestrian-only, and jam-packed with tourists and establishments serving them. Feels a...More

My friends and I spent 48 hours visiting Bratislava and we spent the majority of our time in Old Town. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and there was a lovely atmosphere even on a Mon/Tues night!

Bratislava old town is lively with many restaurants and bars in a mostly restored medieval setting. Slovak food and beer is popular but so are many others and the architecture reflects several influences over time.

There are maybe 100+ places to grab a beer or have a meal there and they all seemed to be busy. If you are stopping for the day, go there. Not much for quality shopping though. Only five minutes off the river if you are...More

I think it's possible but not convenient. Through train you spare money and time (and the boat trip it's not so beautiful, doesn't worth the money in my opinion). Bye! Mauro
