Bratislava isn't a big city but it has a large pedestrianised area at its heart, and that's great for visitors. I recommend spending a half day walking around and seeing the different buildings, learning something of the history, and, of course doing some café-relaxing and shopping at very reasonable (cheaper than Austria!) prices. There's a lot of history here, with... More

We enjoyed everything, the Old Town looks fantastic, it was a joy to walk along the old paved streets and to dive into history. Buildings are well preserved, renovated but respecting the original style. There are many churches, and it's worth visiting them, I liked particularily the Franciscan Church. Restaurants are offering good food, still I would advise the ones... More

Old town is cute and different buildings but can get confusing to get from the castle and the wall area. Lots of little one way streets. Need a guide book!

I believe the best place to know a place is to go around as a local. I did just that and did get the opportunity to see and interact with the locals. There are quite a few restaurants to eat when you are hungry after some extensive walking

Beautiful people and city. It was an incredible romantic city to walk about and tour. Cobblestones with many squares and you can easily spend a day here exploring. We booked a guide and she gave us a great tour and then we explored on our own and it was perfect.

Loved the place, but only catch was climbing up the tower as one had to wait for ages for people to climb up and down the tiny, narrow staricase.

It was nice to escape the hordes of tourists in Vienna and spend a day walking about Bratislava in relative peace.

Old Town is so picture perfect, even the cobblestones are nicely polished and of differing colors. Cute place and definitely worth a wander.

The old town centre is compact with good museums, churches and restaurants. Prices generally ok, good value for money.

We walked from our hotel, the Doubletree, to city central and enjoyed the architecture, the many churches, the various vendors and the Market Square.
