A wonderful, compact old town, well preserved/maintained since the fall of communism and a very pleasant place to walk round.

Museum about the history of Bratislava. It does not take that long, sometimes it´s for free, it´s nice inside, interesting and a charming view from the tower.

According to our local guide, he likes to call this the three town halls: the current one for everyday business, the restored one where he was married some decades ago, and the very old original town hall. The original town hall was my favorite of the three buildings, as it has quite lovely restored architecture and opens on to the... More

The house with the tower was built in the 14th century and the old town hall was establiushed in the 15th century and over the years it has some very obvious extensions.Well worth a visit. Bratislaver is easy to visit from Vienna and it takes one hour by train.

The museum is not open on a Monday, but well worth a visit as it tells the history of the city. there was also a very interesting collection in the cellars of torture instruments from the middle ages (brought some tears to my eyes!).

Easy to find, and only charging a small amount for admission, this is a great way to avoid any bad weather and check out the local history, There's various rooms detailing different period's in Bratislava's history. It's worth the climb to the clock tower for the views alone, but also to see Faust's study. In the basement there are periodic... More

The building is at the service for ministerial works and really not a touristic site at all. Very simple and like many places in Bratislava, bad maintained.

Excellent place to sit and relax, and to walk artound. The place has many interesting things to see. What you will like the most is the story behind it. Do take a guide.
