We spent the weekend in the National Park & visited the Baradla Cave. There are tours everyday, at 10am, midday, 3pm and 5pm. You pay HUF2200 per adult and the tour lasts approximately 45mins-1hr. In my opinion It is fantastic place to visit. If I could compare this cave with Skocjans Caves Aggtelek is smaller but more impressive than that Caves in Slovenia. Anyone who is amateur of tourist speleology and visiting north part Hungary , must see this place.

Only 1 km is open for visitors out of the 25,5 kms which is the total length of the fantastic Bardala cave which is the longest in Hungary . The entrance is a natural one as it was used by prehistoric men. One of the main attraction is the " Concert Hall " with such a fantastic acoustic that classical... More

We called in the caves on our way back from Slovakia last weekend. We opted for the 1hr tour as it was quite late in the afternoon. We arrived at 3.45pm and were told the next tour was at 4pm. Wear non slip shoes and a good coat as the floor is wet and it is quite damp in there.... More
