Visited one afternoon from Budapest. Quick trip there and nice wandering streets, and pretty views of the Danube. Plenty of stores with the usual trinkets and a few higher end stores. Plenty of places to eat and an ice cream store on every corner.

I have read many people say that Szentendre is too touristy. Of course it is meant to appeal to tourists, but there is a lot of local flare and color and our 5 hours there was one of the most enjoyable parts of our trip...More

The square at Szentendre is very charming. It is surrounded by shops and restaurants. The walk to the square isn't long and is lined by interesting shops.
