Belvarosi Hid is really well organised bridge for cars, bicycles and pedestrians. What hits me every time is the beauty of tons of flowers which hangs from the bridge. Perfectly groomed and maintained. Underneath, river Tisa peacefully flows..

The bridge connects the two parts of the city - the old and the new Szeged . This is a landmark of the Szeged. The bridge is not spectacular, can not compare with bridges in Budapest.

How can I review a bridge? Well, it connects 2 parts of the city, useful, etc. But it is also a landmark of Szeged, a vital transportation corridor of the city. It is worth to walk couple of hundred meters to the halfway of the bridge and have a view (or photo) towards riverfront and the cathedral.

It is a great bridge on river 'Tisza'. As you are in the center of Szeged you can easily acces and have a short walk and take some pictures. I guess it is around 10 minitues to pass...;) Enjoy!;)

Designed in 1880, shortly after the devastating flood of the Tisza river, this bridge is a critical piece of infrastructure of the city. It connects in the middle of the downtown area the old and the "new" Szeged. It is the major public transportation link. It was completed in 1883, and served the city well until it was bombed in... There was a big bridge fair (Hídvásár) on the bridge at the time we visited, the bridge was stuffed with people and really interesting little shops. It was a great walk (and some money spent). Recommend it because of the great views of our "Blonde Tisza" and the city.

Usual looking bridge, but since there are no more it stands out. Good view from it, especially on sunny day.

There aren't that many bridges in Szeged (which is an understatement) so this bridge must be pretty important for connecting Old and New Szeged. And I think it's a nice one. Well, not an amazing sight in and by itself, but it's worth strolling around on it and looking at what's down and beyond.

Although the bridge itself isn't an attraction as such, not unless you count taking a photo of it :), you will soon realise it's what's besides the bridge, over it, by the side of it and nearby it that counts. For example: The Napfényfürdõ Aquapolis swimming pools & slides water park is on one side, the Liszt Ferenc park is... More

It's a pretty average bridge.. The river Tisa is also nice.. The park next to the bridge is better for strolling in my opinion.
