A beautiful and unique square with a view and atmosphere that you can't find anywhere else in Hungary. One of the nicest monuments (the djami) from Hungary's turqish occupation. It's a bit of shame they made of it a christian church. Also, this is the...More

Start your walk from this point, bypass the mosque from the right, go to the northern town wall promenade and return via the Pecsi Basilica, and then via park to Ferencesek utca and to Kialy utca!

You don't have to be a religious person, to like going/seeing mosques and churches. I would recommend this one because for a small city like Pecs , there are plenty of beautiful things to see. This is one of them.

Pecs is a small city about 200km+ from Budapest. The Szechenyi Ter is at the centre of the City Centre. With restaurants and the St Sebastian Church all around walking distance. Across from the square is an old mosque during the Ottoman invasion. One of...More

Quite a nice town centre and square, better than the outskirts which is spoilt by huge water pipes. A nice church at the top of the square sets it off quite good.

Szechenyi Ter is the postcard image that is the center of town with the unmistakable dome of the Mosque of Pasha Gazi Kassim. Tourist information, solid (but overpriced) selection of restaurants, museums, and the beginning of Király Utca tourist street all surround the square.
