Victor Vasarely Museum features works by the namesake Pécs native along with a few pieces by his contemporaries. While lot of the graphics might not be that impressive for today’s standards with the availability of graphic design programs, it is impressive that Vasarely produced the...More

I loved this museum, full of incredibly simple yet visually stunning works by an artist known for his op-art style. The woven tapestries were also a delightful surprise, as is the small amount of work created by his wife.

We spent half an hour in this very original museum. It's a gem for those interested in visual effect arts. Lots of illusion optics, captivating by its ingenuity.

Didn't manage to visit the museum last September, so this trip to Budapest it was a priority! Despite the snow, it was a very simple trip up the Buda side to the museum. One of the reasons I hadn't made it last September was that...More

This museum is a must but is not easy to find! It is located in a building across the Zsolnay Muzeum, but the entrance is at the very end of the courtyard, on the left hand side... Most of the exhibits in this museum were...More

This most tastefully appointed museum is a pure delight. The collection is extensive and representative of Vararely's work.

If you keep an open mind and appreciate the painstaking effort that Vasarely put into his works, you won't be disappointed. His mostly 3D works are housed in an attractive but not large museum. Viewing so many similar pieces can be a bit boring as...More
