Cross with my kids on bike. Great viewpoint and fun to play border crossing...lol. Town on the other side is very different. Interesting contrasts.

After visiting the Basilica, we walked across the bridge to Slovakia. A very easy walk with large walkways on both sides. You can get a beautiful view of the Basilica from the bridge and the boats on the river. Recommend.

This bridge over the Danube was destroyed twice last century and was only reconstructed at the beginning of this century. It is possible to walk over the bridge.

Bridge of Maria Valeria is reconstructed od steel bridge. Really nothing very special. But you have nice view to Danube river and city of Esztergom and Sturovo

Notable only because it crosses the Danube and links Slovakia and Estergom and because the Lidl is cheaper on the Slovakia side

Most especially since you can travel freely among EU nations - there is no longer a line waiting for customs officials. Enjoy going across for even grocery shopping - their sausages are excellent.

... and the danube. We enjoyed our walk on the bridge. The bridge itself is not spectacular although it has the novelty factor of being on the border. The view over to the basilica is the best you'll ever get! Lovely!

Great way how to cross a border! The bridge itself is nice and offers even better views of the town and castle! Crazy it took so many years to built it again...
