The museum is closed indefinitely and there does not seem to be any information as to wether it will be refurbished and reopen or if it will be relocated.

In a corner far from the main Entrance of Budapest Varosliget (City Park) you'll find two buildings that comprise the Kozlekedesi (Transportation) Museum. The Aviation Museum is located in Petofi Hall, separate from the main transportation museum. Although the explanatory signs are all in Hungarian, Aviation history buffs will still appreciate the chance to examine close-up many vintage Hungarian aircraft that probably cannot be found anywhere else.

No one told us that both this and transport museum are closed for refurbishment and will be closed for approximately 2 years. We were told by a gentleman outside the museum. He is, it turned out, the director of the museum. Don't attempt to go before 2018

WILD GOOSE CHASE!

At the location indicated in the article, there is nothing but an abandoned building, chained and overgrown with weeds, which looks as though it has been in this delapidated condition for years.

Not only are there zero, nada, absolutely squat, information on any alternate site, or date of return for the exhibits, the staff at the gymnasium (high school) across the street from the indicated site knew nothing of any such museum in their immediate vicinity.

This article is trash and should be taken down, or updated with accurate and up-to-date information.
