Expect crowds of tourists and stag parties. However, this gem is a wonderful visit. We got some beers, a palinka and a coffee for a relaxing afternoon!

Situated not too far from our hotel and glad we visited. We spent a couple hours enjoying a few drinks and meeting a couple of artists who were exhibiting their work. The place is really quirky with different bar areas, with their own stylish seating...More

Tends to be a younger crowd, although an older woman like myself was welcomed. Whimsical, full of life, always interesting. If you’re over 30, I recommend going early in the evening - it does get noisy and crowded later at night.

You must go to the ruin bars especially this one when in Budapest. These bars are quirky and have a lovely atmosphere! Cheap drink, food is a little expensive but food everywhere I found in Budapest is expensive in comparison to drink.

District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses
the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and
colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in
an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes
and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic
crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of
the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in
Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly
