Visited both during daytime and night and the nighttime is a must. Pest is all lit up at night and everything of importance is lighted. It is next to the Fisherman Bastion.

This statue sits in an open space near Matthias church and Fisherman's Bastion and can't be missed if visiting this area. It is an imposing statue of one of the most important figures in Hungarian history.

On the Buda side of the Danube, the statue is in a big plaza with the Fisherman's Bastion, which provides a great overlook of Pest. Nice enough statue.

You won't miss it if you visit Fisherman Bastion and Matthias Church on Buda side of the city. Nothing special but it is a good sculpture.... that is it!

Plenty of room to photograph, go to a couple of museums and a castle-all in one location. Should keep you busy for a day.

I have been here twice now. The Statue of St Stephan is the centerpiece to this famous Budapest site.

Oh no, not another statue. There all over the place in Budapest. They make a tourist spot for people to take photos. Surrounded by cafes, shops selling fridge magnets and gifts made in China. Nice if it is sunny, not nice if cold and raining....More

This is a wonderful area and on the day we went unfortunately the statue had been fenced off for renovation. However, this did not stop us enjoying this area

The historical center to a city with a multifarious
and intricate past, Buda has some of the most
outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable
natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube.
Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a
glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian
empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the
time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many
