    Christmas
We came to this establishment during the end of year holidays. The world but I think less than the others most mentioned. The prices were also lower than their competitors (if I may say so as some are related). The site is a little dated in places but that also adds to its charm. To access the saunas, you have to take an option.

Excellent value for money. The spas are certainly not comparable to the most famous ones in the city, but they are very nice and have all the services of the others in a reduced but efficient way. Cabin or locker only, shower, and various relaxation areas available. Small but very nice outdoor pool. Not very touristy. Advise.

    Enjoyable visit
Had free entry with the Budapest card. I was a bit sceptical as some reviews were not great but myself and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. They do stipulate swimming caps in the outside pools but we used shower caps from our hotel and they worked fine. Thermal spa was brilliant. Went about 9.30 am, was not too busy then.

    Good outdoor pool area
We ended up visiting Lukacs baths at a weekend when we saw the full up sign on the neighbouring Veli Vej baths. These are much bigger and busier but have so many areas to go that is does not seem too crowded. There are some lovely outdoor pools (cap needed for the lap pools). The indoor medicinal pools were busy on a Sunday but there was enough turnover to get a seat in the water. There is a fair walk between the medicinal pools and the outdoor leisure pool through the cafe. Keep exploring. The steam room is by far the steamiest I have ever been in!

Skip this spa if it’s the only one you’re considering
I would skip this spa if it was your only chance in Budapest to go to a Spa as it feels like it’s more for the locals. After seeing this on TikTok and seeing good reviews I felt like I had stumbled upon a hidden gem, but that wasn’t really the case. If you’re looking to not spend a lot of money on a spa in Budapest then this is your place, but that’s about it!

Needs more supervision of guest activities!
This spa very much caters to the locals, English signage is poor and it was difficult to navigate at first. That said it offered good value for money. We chose this spa because the weather was sunny and the other nearby one didn't have an outside pool and sun terrace (both of which were pleasant). We took our own towels, flip-flops and swim cap. Would have given 4 stars but there was a dirty old man doing something gross in the outdoor spa pool so we quickly left that area. There didn't seem to be any staff around to notice or report it to. They either need more cameras or staff observing.

    Good
I had a very positive experience here. I pre booked the tickets via the official website which was €10 per person so very reasonably priced in my opinion which is for a full day admission plus lockers and changing rooms too. Everything seemed clean and it wasn’t ridiculously over crowded and unhygienic compared to other Budapest spas. Drinks were very good price too. However you cannot use the swimming pool if you do not have a swimming cap so if you want to use the pools and the thermal baths bring a cap. We didn’t have a cap so could not use which was a shame . You can use the baths without a cap. The rooftop is a nice peaceful place to sit.

Loved the private Bath! We want to go back!
This was our first time going to a thermal bath! We loved it and would love to do it again. We did the private bath with a room that's attached with a shower and some lounge chairs. The 3 hours felt long initially, but we didn't want to leave toward the end! This is a 10/10. The only thing that could have improved it is some snacks and water! Our package included champagne. The staff was so friendly too! **If you do the private bath, you will get to control the temperature! It can get scalding hot! **

    Loved it! Very relaxing!
We visited Lukacs Baths on a Friday afternoon whilst on a 4 day trip to Budapest and it did not disappoint! We spent 4 hours there but could have stayed for the whole day. It was very relaxing and we will definitely return in future. I was slightly worried after reading previous reviews that it wouldn't be well signposted and we would get lost in the maze of buildings. However, it was the opposite, it was very well signposted, easy to navigate (with the help from the maps available on entry) and the staff and locals were extremely helpful when showing us the locker/cabin system. We booked the tickets (with a private cabin) in advance on their website and made sure we took swimming costumes, swimming hats, flip flops, a book and a couple of towels each. The baths were very clean and not very busy. There is a selection of thermal pools, steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, jet pools, and swimming pools, a rooftoop gym, terrace to sunbathe on and a cafe (amongst other facilities that we didn't use). Overall a great traditional/local experience and I wish I could visit every week!

The courtyard pool is warm and inviting. In a figure of eight shape, there are two parts; one has an outer circle which flows quickly and enables swimmers to float around unaided, the inner circle has a seat around the outside with Jacuzzi type blasters that switch on automatically and give an amazing massage. The other half of the pool has beds that have the same effect as well as bubble jets in the middle of the pool.

The thermal pools were absolutely fabulous. We used them all! Started off with the hot one, 40 degrees, then progressed to the 36 degree one, 32 degrees, back to the very hot one and a quick dip in the 24 degree pool, which was extremely cold in comparison. We spent about three hours here and totally enjoyed the experience.

As we had bought the Budapest Card we had free entry, just had to buy some sandals to wear about the place.
Further visits had to be paid for, but with a discount. There are changing rooms with lockers and small changing rooms that can be used, but you can also book a cabin, where presumably, you can leave all belongings.

There is a small cafe serving hot and cold drinks, including local beers, and snacks. Highly recommended.

Great way to spend an afternoon, the Spa is a hidden gem the the locals use and the tourists have still to discover. It is most cost effective if you bring your own towel, flip flops, you also need bathing cap if you want a real warm outdoors swim, but that’s the save with the other more popular Spa’s.
Some of the staff don’t speak the greatest of English and the place could do with better signage.
The Spa was recommended by the people in the local wine bar and they were spot on. No overcrowding, friendly and half the price of the 3 more widely advertised options and with fewer hidden extras.

During the day we visited the city and around 6 pm we went to relax. Compared to the others, it is a small structure of Hungarian baths, frequented mainly by locals and few tourists. Good organization and great price.

As a non-hungarian speaker, the bath was hard to find and navigate. The entrance is hidden behind gates with little to no signage, and the signs inside are also sparse. We got the experience for free thorough the "Budapest plus card", which is the only reason we went here instead of the Szechenyi Baths. However, we had a nice experience.

The Lukacs Bath is on the smaller side, with 4 pools inside varying in temperature from 24-40C. There are also two swimming pools outside (24-26C), but you have to wear a swimming cap to use those. At last, there is a heated pool outside (36C), but it is quite difficult to find, so you probably have to ask someone (If you find the outdoor swimming pools, keep going right). The lockers are free to use, and the locker rooms are mixed gender with small changing cabins inside. The showers were gender seperated and also had small shower cabins, so no public shower.

All in all, we had a great time, and would recommend going here, if you have the patience to figure out the floor plan.

We decided to vist the Lukacs thermal baths instead of one of the more touristy ones like Szechenyi or Rudas as Lucaks was quite a bit cheaper and also stayed open until 8pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We arrived around 4pm and although there were quite a few people (mostly locals) using the thermal pools it wasn't at all packed. There was no queue to get in and the reception staff spoke quite good English but didn't explain the writstband system for the cabins so we had a little bit of a faff when we got there as we thought we could use any one that was free when in fact there is a cabin number assigned to the wristband. Luckily some other tourists who had used the baths before helped us out.

(As a note on the cabins: it's quite easy for 2 people to share a cabin - not necesarilly using it at the same time, but it's easy enough for one person to use it after the other.)

It is a bit of a maze inside the complex but in most areas there is signage in English as well as Hungarian so it's not difficult to find your way from the outdoor pool to the indoor Turkish baths, but it is quite a distance (or feels like it, going through quite a few corridors and up and down stairs).

Ultimately, once you're in it's a fun and relaxing experience. The heated outdoor pool has numerous bubble vents that go off periodically and there's a rapids area. The Turkish baths have different temperatures up to 40 degrees but you're not advised to stay in those for very long. They are small, so probably only about 20-30 people can comfortably be in them at a time, but people were very accomodating in making space for newcomers so although it might feel a bit of a daunting experience as you enter for the first time, it needn't be. You do feel very relaxed after 10 minutes or so in the thermal waters so it's a good thing to do after a couple of long days walking around the sights of Budapest! You can aslo fill a water bottle from various fountains within the baths to get the benefits of the natural minerals that way.

We didn't use the length-swimming pool, where swimming hats are required. In the rest of the complex hats aren't necessary but you are expected to tie your hair back if it's shoulder-length or longer. Flip flops are required everywhere.

We spent about 3 and a half hours at the baths in total.

The staff within the complex were quite helpful but a bit abrupt at times; still the Lukacs baths was, we thought, better value for money and likely to be less densely populated than other baths so overall we'd recommend the experience.

What a fun place! To all those who have complained about location, slippers/flip flops/towels, etc, do the research! You will need a bathing cap for the pools as well....they're 2 for $6 on Amazon and we saw a few folks with hotel shower caps as well. For a very few dollars more, we took a cabin, but it was a bit confusing to get into. The desk clerk walked up a flight of stairs to assist us. You need to swipe your wristband on a screen as you enter the cabin area, at which point you are assigned a cabin number. We didn't find it difficult to go into any of the pools or various warm water spots scattered about the facility. Just wander about, you'll find them. Isn't that what travel is about anyways? My favorite spot was the steam room at 50C. Adjacent to it is a pool at 20C. Trust me, that'll wake you up and cleanse those pores. I've been to the Gellert Baths and they're beautiful, but at 1/4 the cost, you get a much more local experience at Lukacs. Easily accessible from the #6 tram....just use your phone and don't complain that it's hard to find since there was a parade of folks with gym bags walking from the tram stop to the facility.

This is a good place to feel the intimate atmosphere of thermal bathing in Budapest. While Gellért and Széchenyi are more well-known and much larger, this bath offers a quieter historic setting in a more off-the-beaten path part of the City.

There are multiple pools in the dimly lit interior and a great outdoor leisure pool in a sunny enclosed yellow courtyard. The interior is a typical maze of corridors and rooms but it’s not too difficult to understand. There is another lap pool outside that requires bathing caps that we did not use. Our family really enjoyed this bathing experience and look forward to returning sometime.

These baths felt more like a retirement home than public baths. I was the only person under the age of 50 in the entire complex. There was a pretty foul smell in one of the indoor pool rooms and the cabins were quite difficult to figure out. To add to all of this, I was mistakenly charged $240 for a pair of slippers. I left after 20 minutes and decided to spend my morning elsewhere. I recommend tourists stick to the bigger more famous baths.

My boyfriend and I visited at the end of June and spent a nice 2 hours here. We paid around £8 each (included locker) which we felt was really good price considering other thermal baths wanted newer £35! We booked our tickets online and printed these out. On arrival we went to main reception where they scanned our ticket and gave us our wristbands for the lockers. We were then directed to the main changing area and lcokers, no issues. Not all signs are in English however we didn’t find this a problem. The main pools are in the middle (these are the pools where swim caps are required) and then to the left of these are the indoor thermal baths and to the right of these and through the cafe is the outside thermal bath which also has a whirlpool. We spent about half hour inside (it was very hot weather when we went) and rest of the time in the outside thermal bath. Once we knew where everything was, it was easy to navigate and you can leave your towels on the chairs around the baths. Highly recommend visiting if you are looking for a cheaper thermal bath. We walked here from District V and took us about 40mins (also has good transport links).

Excellent experience for an activity, the spa one, which has a long tradition in Budapest: it is not for nothing that there are several. Given that I am not a regular visitor, I chose, among the many, those in Lukacs certainly for the very advantageous price, but above all because they seemed to me to be the least touristy and this was actually the case with many locals and few foreigners. The internal thermal part is very beautiful, with different pools at different temperatures, as well as a Turkish bath. I found the outdoor pools rather anonymous, practically the same as a normal swimming pool. Changing rooms with lockers (they work with a bracelet that is given upon entry and returned upon exit) or, with a different price, with cabins. After 5pm on weekdays (they close at 7pm from Thursday to Monday and at 8pm on Tuesday and Wednesday) there is a price reduction and consequently they are quite crowded, but nothing unmanageable.
