The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.

What you can see from the terrace is the focal point, with the funicular up Castle Hill, the Chain Bridge over the Danube, and the Parliament on the opposite bank so it does afford great views if also being a busy roundabout

Attention! Trams 19 and 41 are checked between Battányá tér and Gellért tér. Only tourists! Buy a ticket!! This must be validated on the vehicle. You can use the Q-r code online on the stop sign or outside the tram door, not inside the tram!!! This is what the inspectors are for!!

Clark Adam Square ( Clark Adam Ter ) is a great square although in reality it's not a square ,it's home to the famous Budapest Funicular and the views of the hills are lovely as are the views of the famous bridges ,it's busy ,it's a square to most definitely check out if you're planning a holiday to Budapest .

Its a round about out front of the Buda Hill Tunnel with a garden in front of it. Its not really a must see though. Its near the Buda Hill funicular. Have a look when your there but don't spend to much time.

This square sits at one end of The Chain Bridge. It is named for the builder of that bridge. Behind the square is the Funicular, and to the left, a park.

This is just an ordinary roundabout in the vicinity of the Buda tunnel.
It's definitely not an attraction.

Named after the Scottish engineer who completed the work on the adjoining Chain Bridge, Clark Ádám tér is a roundabout that conducts traffic either over the Danube, through the Tunnel also built by Clark or along the Buda embankment.

This is small square near the Funicular station for the Buda Castle with places to sit and a few small cafes and shops. Apart from that there really isn;t an awful lot to see.

After looking around the area surrounding the Buda Castle we were in need of a break. The Clark Adam Square which is situated adjacent to the Buda Funicular Station proved to be the ideal spot to rest for a while on a park bench.
The small square is certainly not a quiet spot. There were tour groups constantly coming and going with tour coaches pausing briefly next to the square for drop-offs and pick-ups. There were also vendors selling ice-creams, cool drinks and tours.
Several groups were also gathering in the square, in preparation for taking the funicular tram up the hill to the castle.
The square is also home to several small statues which we admired while we were there.
Recommended as a good spot to take a break after visiting Buda Castle!
