It is easily accessible, the building itself inside is beautiful. There are 1-hour English tours. There is a mini concert at the end of the tour put on by the students, we really enjoyed ours. You can then check out other concerts at the box...More

Hopefully, you will be able to schedule an evening performance. We did and it was exceptional. In any case, do take advantage of the daily tour and mini-concert option. It is inexpensive and provides you with a full tour of the building and a most...More

The building has a beautiful interior and very good acoustics. The tour was well worth it because it was informative and included short performances from talented artists.

For music lovers, it is a great place, still should be improved in terms of openness and hospitality. As in many places in Budapest you visit it in spite of the apathic Hungarian spirit.

The concert was out of this world. This was one of the best pianists I have ever seen. He came back for 4 or 5 encores, and at the very end played a charming Fur Elise. The orchestra hall is amazingly beautiful. Next time I...More

We went to a concert here in April 2018. The building has been recently and most lovingly and perfectly restored. There are tours at 13:30 everyday (English) so if you can't get a concert ticket you can still visit the building. Perfect Jugendstill/Art Decco!

My wife and I have attended about a dozen musical events at the Academy of Music since it reopened after a 3 year refurbishment. The two recital halls - one large and the other more intimate - are beautiful art nouveau recreations of the recital...More

Here you can ear great concerts but also see the fabulous art deco building renovated not a long time ago. In this building Béla Bartók was teaching and if lucky you can also assist, free of charge, in the little upper classrooms some student playing...More

Despite being in a central location, Franz Liszt Academy can be considered an off the beaten path location. I would really recommend taking the guided tour which is informative, reasonable priced and also includes a solo performance by one of the Academy's graduates.

As a musician, I love visiting different conservatories and academies of music, but the Liszt Music Academy shouldn’t be visited only by musicians. There is a guided tour through some venues of the Academy, such as the Chamber hall and the main concert hall. The...More

We bought our tickets for the FL Academy at the Academy's box office the night of the performance we saw (just an hour ahead of time), and the prices were incredibly reasonable.
