We went here two nights running as we liked the menu and found service quick and pleasant. Outside seating available only (we didn't book) but lovely red blankets provided. Food extremely nicely cooked and presented. Right in the middle of a busy square and near public transport (subway).

Vorosmarty Square is place where stuff is happening. Meeting for walking tours, buying/selling stuff, everything is close and it is connected to Vaci street as well. Good place but internet connectivity is not so stabile. There is wonderfull lion statue in color and few stone ones as well

Great area where locals and tourists congregate during the festive season. The new year countdown was held here with fireworks display. However during crowded times beware of pickpockets and rowdy celebrants

We were lucky enough to be in Budapest in December, just before Christmas and Vorosmarty Square hosts a great Christmas Market, and is even more busy and bustling than it would be normally. Besides the market, Vörösmarty Square is one of the busiest places in the downtown section of Budapest. This area is a hubbub of activity, boasting luxury stores,... More

I visited the Christmas market which was beautiful and one of a kind but around the buffets the tables were dirty and no one cleaned them. It was unattractive.

Centrally located and the free walking tour of Budapest meets here! This is also where the Millennium Underground begins. The main attraction here is the famous Gerbeaud Café, a tenant since 1870. Check it out!

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
