It’s fun to window shop and people watch. Unless the mid season sales are on I don’t shop. When they are - restraint is my watchword. I miss Marks and Spencer’s. Stop for coffee at Anne’s if you’re interested in splurging on French bakery goodness

This area is the real centre of public life in Pest. It connects the most well-known pedestrian streets in the city, with a Hard Rock Cafe and the Gerbaud Cafe, which offers 150-year-old recipes from Hungary such as Dobos cake, Esterhazy cake or the Gerbaud...More

Vaci Street is one of the most popular shopping streets in Budapest. Here you can find everything. Ushankas with the red star at the front, souvenir shops, where everything is overpriced, boutiques, restaurants, pubs, fashion shops, and impressive buildings. For example the lovely Corso Gourmet,...More

I could not recommend not to enter the street since it's very central and you could find yourself passing it moving from point A to B. However, it's better not to spend money to tourist industry overprised souvenirs...

Central shopping street in Budapest. Stays pretty lively into the evening. Not very long and easily traversed. Close to hotels. Beware hawkers.

Our hotel, the Mercure, was on this street. Pleasant for a stroll, always plenty going on. Lots of restaurants, shops and stalls.

Well, this is a street, nothing else, you can find shops and restaurants and cafes here but that's about it. I wouldn't go out of my way to see this, but if you have accommodation in the city you will no doubt walk along here.

The most popular street in Budapest, filled with restaurants, bars, shops and tourists, especially beautiful during winter and holiday season when it's all in lights.

I stayed at Pest Side and it was great. The hotel was BO18 and although it is not right in the centre, the metro takes you directly there with no hassle. This is just to avoid walking. Vaci Street is a very nice street and... More
