You could take a bus to the top but the climb will help to burn off some of those extra calories you have taken on board during your stay in Budapest. The views are fabulous from the top.

We took the Castle Bus tour up to Buda Castle and then onward to Fisherman’s Bastion and Mattias Church. The views across the Danube are absolutely spectacular up here. Great views of Parliament across the way as well.

But, you have to pay to go on the turret. Really? Everything is a tourist trap here. Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful location walking distance from the castle. The church is also interested, but again, you have to pay.

It is free to see outside and walk on some of it , but you have to pay a small fee to climb the towers for a great view. It is open all year .

Sure, should not be a problem. It may be a little cold, but otherwise i don't see any problem with it. Make sure to visit the church right next to it as well.
