This is located in the Castle District by the cathedral . There's a quaint, hidden cafe area in the trees. Great place for a beer and to escape the sun. You can visit the Bastion after 8pm without tickets and enjoy a bottle of wine...More

Do go! For great views of Pest below. The terrace restaurant is great to spend time enjoying a drink. Not overpriced given the excellent service and surrounding.

We arrived in the afternoon and it was pretty crowded and difficult to get nice shots. So we chilled by the cafe nearby. Around evening, the crowd faded off tremendously so I highly encourage going around evening time. Plus, sunset was beautiful!

What struck me was the amazing structure and the vibe of the place. It was crowded when a bus load of tourists poured in, but worth the view and the wait for the perfect picture.

Apart from the Bastion itself being beautiful and nice, it provides an excellent view on the Danube and the Pest side of town. In particular, you will get a magnificent view on the Parliament building across the river.

This fantastic place is NOT a sea food warehouse. It's name comes from a dedication to fisherman who have lost their lives. It is a city overlook with a castle theme. It's a wonderful place to take pictures of your loved ones and panoramas of...More

Yes, there is an elegant restaurant-- Halászbástya Étterem --. Hungarian and international food is served from 12-00 every day. I don't think it's an open place, though. They offer a website: halaszbastya.eu or they can... More
