Kisüzem opened up at the end of the year 2011 at the 'bar district' of Budapest at Klauzál square.Daytime everything is given to the classic coffeehouse atmosphere: 2 creative guys at the kitchen, wireless internet, fresh daily press and specially grounded coffee. The place is child and dog-friendly!In late afternoon, good wines and palinkas become more and more popular, the place is getting crowded.Starting at 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Kisüzem hosts smooth jazz and other diverse concerts.Kisüzem is not a romkocsma but not a fancy bar either: the place attracts all kind of artists and hip people from the neighborhood: it's a venue for musicians, painters, actors, journalists and fortunately for a lot of foreigners lately!

Great just for a beer or small dinner! Love the naked bricks walls and artistic feeling here! The bar is just amazing with choice of whisky and rum.

I visited the bar twice at afternoon, so the it was almost empty. Coffee was fine, the food tasted fine too. The cuisine is interesting, it's some kind of mix of more cuisines (hungarian, greek, mexican). One of the waitress was a little bit rude,...More

Extraordinary selection of tequilas and rum, not to forget palinka selection too! The menu is short, however anyone can find a thing, from vegan to meat lover. And trust me, it is delicious.

I seldom take time to write a review for an unpleasant experience. This place was an exception. Because I'm unfamiliar with the local currency, the bar staff chose to charge me astronomical amounts for my cocktail and girlfriend's wine. 1100ft for a glass of wine...More

Dear AustinB84, I'm truly sorry for this experience. not that I expect anything like this from my staff, but I'd like to reimburse that 1.000 Ft to you. About the first visit: you probably received 2 deciliters of wine, 550 Ft is for 1 dl.

Cool and tasteful ambience with a great vibe. It instils creativity. If I lived there I'd be a regular.

I take people occasionally to Kisüzem on business trips. On my last three visits, the middle-aged bartender was so openly rude that I decided not to go this place ever again. Truth be told, the food is good and I like the design so it...More

In a nutshell these are poorly designed pubs located in old and abandoned buildings, selling alcohol. As decoration they often use junk like old garden furniture, housekeeping equipments and parts of rusty vehicles. Worth to... More
