Although Romanian by birth Ferenc Salamon ( 1825-1892 ) was as Hungarian as it could be ,an all rounder ,a journalist, a professor, art critic, historian ,the bust in his honour ,the work of sculptor Jankovics Gyula is a good likeness, its in a great location namely Roosevelt Square and if you're in this area of the Pest side of the River Danube is most definitely well worth checking out.

What I shall call him, I don’t know. He was a university professor, regular member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Kisfaludy Society, an author, Hungarian soldier in the 1848 war of independence, art critic, historian, newspaper editor, wrote polemics and political articles and now his bust, which Jankovics Gyula prepared, from bronze, standing in from t of the Hungarian Scientific Academy. We who may see it in the garden we are thinking, who was he who deserves such a prominent place?

I think he was an Olympic athlete in the 1930s. I so hope I'm correct
