We walked past the Cobblers Bridge (or Shoemaker's Bridge) on two different days without realising its fame, this being a bridge designed by Joze Plecnik. Perhaps we were distracted by the market stalls of the Christmas Market, the lively crowd and the colourful lightings. From the Cobblers Bridge we had a good view of the Ljubljanica River and the old... More

After the triple and dragon bridges this is the 3rd most interesting bridge in town. The bridge has a peaceful stateliness about it with the ball domed pillars designed by local architect Joze Plecnik

This is a must on your visit to the capital, and I suggest you take your camera with you. The reflection of the trees with an autumn hue in the river near the bridge is as picturesque as you can get

The Shoemaker's Bridge also called the Cobbler's Bridge is considered to bethe oldest bridge of medieval Ljubljana. In Medieval times it was a wooden bridge, which was likely to also fulfill the functions of a drawbridge and was built in the 13th century. As shoemakers had their workshops by the bridge, it got the popular name the Shoemaker's or Cobbler's... More

The Shoemaker's Bridge is a nice wide bridge that allows access from one side of the canal to the other. The bridge is easy to find. What I enjoyed most about this bridge is the views of the old buildings that line the canal. There are shops and restaurants nearby.

The bridge is not special, but the environment is beautiful, romantic, noble and well maintained. There are alot of shops, restaurants, bars around and you can hire a boat ride for one hour for 8.50 euros.

A lovely view over Ljubjana River. If you are in the city definately visit Shoemaker's Bridge - apparently a local meeting place.

not so spectacular as three bridges, but still one of the more interesting in the old town. Nice views, close to the bars, restaurants, shops... Quite lively, with ocational artists performances...
