A visit to the ZOO is always a good idea. At our ZOO, the native and more exotic animals inhabit the natural surroundings of the park Tivoli-Rožnik-Šišenski hrib environment. ZOO Ljubljana not only offers a cosy up-close view of over 500 animals, but also various animal adventures or simply a nice opportunity to observe sea lions, big cats, giraffes, meerkats and other animals at feeding times. If you grab your night time camping gear, you can even spend the night here on certain dates! The ZOO also offers a truly awesome playground for the children, as well as a place to relax for their parents and other visitors. The dogs are welcome too. We provide a free parking space, but you can also get to the ZOO by Ljubljana city bus number 18 or 18L.

Zoo is not the best on the world but it is the best in Slovenia. Main part of the animals came from the region. They also have examples from Africa, Asia and South America: an old elephant, some tigers, monkeys, sea lions, some smaller ones....More

ZOO Ljubljana is very attractive for children and adults. Besides quite a few different animal species, have many diverse playgrounds for children. It is not very big, but it worth a visit.

ZOO is just the right size to spend half a day there with the kids. Not too big not too small and with lots of interesting areas for the kids. It has plenty of shade for hot days but can get crowded during the weekends...More

This is a big zoo with a variety of animals that are set in their environment-like spacious places. It shows that it is set in a way to cage them minimally so that the animals feel free. What was particular about the animals is that...More

It is not a very big zoo, nor does it have as many different species as in some other European capital's zoos, but it's surroundings is so beautiful, and the animals are kept in natural thick woods. There are lots of facilities for kids made...More

We visited in March. Although it was very cold we had a great time. For some reason it was only €4 per adult to get in. The animals seemed to be well looked after and the enclosures seemed well kept and open. They are building...More

In two hours it will be over. There is a massive face lift going on and some of the animals aren't where they supposed to be, but very enjoyable and the lynx cage looks the way a zoo should be
