This castle offers several fantastic viewpoints over Lake Bled. The walkway up from the parking area is quite steep. There were several educational areas where you could learn about printing press, wine making, and metal forging. There is also a museum, but it doesn’t take...More

You feel as if you have to do this while you are here, if only to ring the bell but it has a captive entrance of €14 each and you've completed it within 15mins.

A must visit if you visit Bled as the views are incredible. Quite a steep slope to get up to the castle but worth it when you reach the top. There are gift shops, a cafe, a wine cellar and forge so plenty to keep...More

This castle is a must see. It's a glorious sight to look up to, but an even better view to look down from. It's got the whole castle & surrounds of buildings which are a complete tour, easily done by oneself, plus the views over...More

Historical castle on the hill is something special and well suited for the tourists (lots of shops inside, guide that describes each room if following smartphone application guide app).

Paid 22 euro to stare at a basically completely refurbished, modernized castle. The only original wall I could make out was most likely the path leading up to the castle. The view while amazing is not worth the price. The museum is lack luster, mostly...More

Bled castle looks very good and I love visiting castles. We walked up the steps someone said 400. It is quite a trek. The trek up there is not worth the cost to get in. There's nothing in there to see. There's a small museum....More

From Bled Castle you can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake and surroundings, however that's about it. The museum and the other exhibitions are almost non existent, and most of the items displayed in the museum are copies. It's definitely not worth the steep...More

Book a fine dinning at the restaurant and you can get free entrance to the castle then go early to enjoy a afternoon of history, stunning views and just soaking in castle life. Then head upstairs for the most amazing dinner. Awesome service and wonderful...More

Il ristorante del castello sembra chic ma non conosco i prezzi. Si sul lungolago c'erano dei chioschi con bevande, cibi ed oggetti. Lubiana è a 80 km da Bled. Saluti.

You can book a table by telephoning the castle, where a member of staff will redirect you to the restaurant. The number can be found on the castle's website.

There is no free shuttle bus. If you have someone elderly I would recommend a taxi. They can be organised at the shop beside the tourist information in the main town. I did not know about the wine cellar. However, if you... More
