What a fabulous castle with awesome views of Lake Bled. Park for up to two hours in car park. Great little cafe in grounds,a little gift shop, ice cream cart and an amazing restaurant which we booked ourselves into for an unforgettable evening. The castle...More

This castle was strategically located above the town and Lake Bled for defensive reasons. It offers a great view of the lake and Alpine surrounding area. It is also a fine sight from the lake as well. To get there start at the church and...More

The base of this beautiful castle is easily accessable by car. But entering the castle isn't easy. First you have to go up a steep slippery street. And inside the castle, go up many stairs in order to enjoy the most beautiful view of Lake...More

Bled is a place that we visit 4 times at the past. It's not only the castle pinned above the lake. It's the all thing that gives you the sense of walking in medieval ages. The castle, the lake, the church in the isle of...More

We went for a meal, and had a wonderful experience. From the table overlooking the lake to the attentive and informed waiter, I couldn't fault it. Try the Doppler Efekt wine; come for the pun, stay for the impressive Slovenian wine!

We both love a castle visit and so decided to walk up the 300steps to Bled Castle. It was 10euros to get in and I was a bit disappointed if I'm honest. The castle itself is small with little access to anywhere with a truly...More

Great walk to the top via a lot of steps, but worth the dander for the views over the lake. The Castle itself is nice with a restaurant and a few historical displays but nothing amazing. You have to pay in (which got you 1.5...More

There is no free shuttle bus. If you have someone elderly I would recommend a taxi. They can be organised at the shop beside the tourist information in the main town. I did not know about the wine cellar. However, if you... More
