Just about 30 minutes drive from Bled and you will enjoy the stunning and perfect view of the crystal lake. There are numbers of coffeeshop and souvenirs shop nearby. You will go through few district along the way from Bled to Lake Bohinj.

When I was pre-planning Slovenia, I really wanted to go to Lake Bohinj, mostly because of what I had read. The lake is truly beautiful and much more natural that it's more famous cousin of Lake Bled, as it's much less built up. Plus, the...More

Never seen such a peaceful, beautiful lake. Crystalline waters reflecting the beautiful forest, it was dreamy. We had glimpses of fall foliage. It was beautiful but i imagine it in full foliage would be a magnificent sight to behold. Bought some local cheese from a...More

This is a hidden jewel not far from Bled. Lake Bohinj was absolutely stunning. We went up to the Vogel (1,858 m) by cable car and we became speechless. A MUST!

If you don't like being among throngs of tourists, take a brief stop at Lake Bled (maybe for lunch) and then head to Lake Bohinj. We took the tourist boat one way and walked back. It was beautiful and peaceful.

We went to Bohinj just in time to catch the sunset but maybe that day maybe the topographic area are not what we expected, The sunset was rather dull and the lake itself is nice but incomparable to Bled

Had a perfect weather day, sunny, 72f, no wind, Union beer at the top of the chairlift. Gorgeous alpine scenery. The only bummer is the horrendous "Sunday evening going home" traffic when driving back to the Autocesta thru congested Bled.

Beautiful and peaceful place , you can walk along the bank for a relaxing and refreshing tour. Don't miss the Zlatorog statue.

Probably the most beautiful place I have EVER been. The combination of the alps and the crystal clear water of the lake is undeniable. If you love nature and a serene atmosphere- you cannot go wrong here. It's much quieter than the neighboring Lake Bled....More

While traveling in Slovenia lake Bohinj is a place no to be missed. A Beautiful lake where in summer months you can swim and refresh, surrounded by nice nature. The town is small but very charming. One of my favorite places in Slovenia.

We stayed at hotel Krystal in Ribcev laz. The hotel is a bit away from the lake - like a 5-10 minute walk only, and it was good. Not really fancy, but clean, comfortable and quiet. Very friendly owners who were helpful... More
