Not many things remain from the time of the Warsaw ghetto and hardly anyone survived, so simply to mark this area as the place where people were rounded up and sent to their deaths is important. Not much if you are expecting something wow, similarly...More

So this yet another moving monument dedicated to the dark times when hundreds of thousands of Polish jews were sent to their death.

This is a very understated monument to a horrific place. Monument in design of a railway carriage as this was the point were the nazi's hereded jews onto trains to go to their deaths. Makes you very emotional reading the inscriptions.

If you don't know what you are looking at, it will mean nothing to you. There are over 400 first names inscribed on the wall as a symbol of the Jews that were imprisoned in the Warsaw ghetto. This spot is where the loading ramp...More

A touching memorial though a bit light on gravity compared to others nearby. This tells a necessary chapter in the story of the Polish Jews, but seems a little forgotten amongst the neighbourhood in which it is located.

Located near the Polin museum and the Mila 18 memorial this is an interesting marker of the gathering place for the Jews being loaded onto trains to the death camps. Worth a visit as a part of a walking tour of these sites.
