We took the lift up to the viewing platform and had stunning views of the city. The information on the walls is very interesting as it tells you all about how the city was destroyed and then rebuilt. The building is beautifully lit at night too.

Build in socialist Poland as the highest building in Warsaw The Palace of Culture and Science offers great panoramic views and there are different exhibitions.

Definitely worth a visit even if it takes you half hour to find the entrance (like it did for us!). Great value (as with most things in Warsaw!) and gives you a proper appreciation of the size and scale of the city. Would definitely recommend!

A building one should see when going to Krakow. It's not extraordinary, but looks quite beautiful at night.

If you want an interesting experience and not afraid of heights, then go up 114 metres to the terrace on the 30th floor. It is apparently 237 metres tall, including the spire which is about 43-metres high and was intended to be the tallest building in Poland. Nowadays, it has a bit of competition from various modern high rise office... More

The palace of science and culture was the place the modlin bus dropped us off after arriving in Poland. It is very prominent and you can't mistake it for any other building. It was a gift from Stalin to the people of Poland to remind them whose rule they were under, apparently ? We took a trip up to the... More

I cannot describe this building - it is massive, huge, 3000 rooms, concert halls, movie theatre, museum, etc. amazing architecture - a landmark for Warsaw with (a not so flattering) historic background - nevertheless - a gem that is worth visiting.

I was put off visiting this building because of its communist history and severe exterior. Had no idea there were so many great museums inside. Its a great place to spend the day. You got to go to the doll museum (even if your not into that kind of thing) its so interesting. I went on a tour of the... More

Came here for a few hours of exploring. Firstly native Poles don't like this building all too much, given it was Russian in design. It's celebrating its 60th year and its a constant reminder of some of the tough times post war that the poles still went through. In any case, it costs 20zl per person to get to the... More
