Un tempo di forma triangolare, prima della II guerra mondiale la piazza ospitava edifici come il Palazzo del Ministero delle Entrate, la Banca di Polonia (da cui il nome), la Borsa di Varsavia e la più grande sinagoga di Varsavia (fatta saltare in aria dai tedeschi).
Ricostruita con forma rettangolare, oggi l'ex sede del Ministero del Tesoro ospita il municipio .

1 gwiazdka za ten niewypał strefy relaksu. Jak można odpoczywać w tym hałasie i benzynowym smogu. Na szczęście już tego nie ma. Marnotrastwo.

銀行広場という意味です。19世紀にできたこの広場は何回も絵画の題材にされた場所です。しかし今年は大きなサプライズが待っていました。久しぶりに行くと、全く変身して市民の憩いの場になったのです。広場にできたのはハンモック、ブランコ、移動図書館、ビール売り場、レストラン、そして何よりも重要なもの、最近はやりのグラディアヴェルク！ポーランドではそれがブームになっていて色々な町が争うかのようにグラディアヴェルクを作るようになりました。ここのものはユニークで空っぽの瓶でできています。それを囲うようにして座って中から出てくる塩水のミストを吸い込みます。要するにスパの一種ですね。
舞台もあって時々コンサートが行われます。
そういう施設にこだわりがあったようで全部木材でできているので、木の匂いがします。
利用するのはもちろん無料ですが、夏の間しかやらないみたいなので、また次の夏休みを狙うしかないです。
ここで何かを飲むなら、kwas(クワス、ロシアの伝統的な清涼飲料)とスラブ人のレモネード(słowiańska lemoniada)と呼ばれるもの。
舞台もあって時々コンサートが行われます。
そういう施設にこだわりがあったようで全部木材でできているので、木の匂いがします。
