Much better than I would have expected in a town of Poznan’s size. Interesting and with variety. Modern art, Polish art and special exhibitions. I did miss more English translations to be able to fully appreciate the special exhibition.

Museum is modern and pristine with a huge amount of Polish art available on display. It would be helpful to spend some time researching the subject before visiting. Art lovers could spend several hours in the building.

I often visit the art museum and the most profound paintings are located at the uppermost floor- polish style paintings from late 1800s-early 1900s in all it's glory, with paintings by Malczewski, Axentowicz and Wyspiański. There is a section with old german, dutch and italian...More

This is basically an art museum. They have a pretty good collection of European art and a good collection of Polish art. One disappointment is that the staff speaks no English most will make no attempt to help you.

First, this is an ART MUSEUM, as others have noted. I consider myself knowledgeable about Western European art in general; not an expert, but with broad superficial knowledge. But I was blown away by the quality and quantity of paintings I had never heard of...More

Very interesting museum, here and the day is not enough to even just bypass all the halls, take more time to visit this museum and see an unusual collection of paintings

The old and new buildings merge beautifully. Pity no lift in old part and no cafe. The air conditioning in modern part very welcome on a hot day You are allowed to take photos. There is a small shop with art work for sale.

Superb building for a start. Artwork superbly displayed. It has a wonderful collection of 19th and 20th century art and an internationally-worthy collection of great European art-masters. The Wyspianski pictures are a delight, ditto Mehoffer, ditto Malczewski - WHY does the rest of Europe not...More

I expected dark and dreary - and there were plenty of black backgrounds - but I was intrigued and inspired by the sweetness of some of the polish artists and the light in the water on one special painting. There were plenty of emotion tugging...More

Most of the museum are actually paintings. I would classify it as a gallery. In a National Museum, I would expect to learn about the nation and country history through a collection of its arts and artefacts. This is not the case in this institution....More
