What a beautiful church, it doesn't look like a church from the outside, but it is absolutely awesome. Definitely a must do

Wandering around this area of the city my twin brother Stephen and I passed this great looking church and I must say I was impressed.
Franciscan Church was constructed between 1647-1728 ,it's one of the oldest structures in Poznan, the facade is gorgeous ,the wonderful Baroque style of architecture is so pleasing on the eye ,it's a very photogenic church building and easy to locate along Franciszkanska overlooked by Poznan Royal Castle.

Outside the church is very plain - but inside it comes alive. It is ornately decorated in vivid, bright colours.

The outside doesn't look anything special but when we entered we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this church. We have seen many churches and sometimes feel a bit church out but this was worth a peek.

Not far from the Old Town Square we happened to encounter the simple and modest building of the Franciscan Church.
The exterior and the simple design did not prepare us for the "amazing" sights that awaited us inside the church's interior - one of the most amazing churches I have ever seen !!!
The stunning ceiling paintings are breathtaking.
The whole church is filled with wonderful amazing Baroque Style artworks.
MOST AMAZING.
Unfortunately we arrived at the church in the middle of the prayer and out of respect for the holy place and the worshipers, I had to reduce the photography so that I did not take much of the amazing works, pictures and sculptures that filled the church.
I am sure that I will return to Poznan in the future with the MAIN aim of completing the photos I missed on this trip.

We stumbled upon this church while exploring the surroundings of Poznan's main square. The exterior looks unassuming, but inside it's full of stunning marbles and ceiling paintings, not much less lavish than the nearby Fara (Parish) church. I'd say this is a must-see for everyone visiting Poznan who has at least a slight interest in churches or historic architecture.

Located in the centre of Poznan. A baroque style church has two chapels in the the side naves. The interior is well decorated and worth spending 20 minutes to check it all out.

Church is located very center of the town at castle hill. The baroque three-nave church has two large chapels in the extension of the side naves. The interior of the temple is richly decorated with stucco decorations. The author of the polychromy is the Franciscan Adam Swach. Not the biggest or oldest church in Poznan but it is the one you must see. A beautiful church. It's a really gem.
