One of the most beautiful churches we have ever visited. The Archcathedral Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka was built in the Neo-Gothic style in 1901-1912, it is a large yellow brick church based on the famous cathedral in Ulm in Germany, it is the tallest building in Łódź. It is really worth visiting. There are some fine altars and even a copy of the Shroud of Turin inside. I can highly recommend the cathedral to anyone visiting Łódź.

Lodz Cathedral is quite big and has a nice atmosphere. But, by Polish standards, the interior is actually quite plain. If you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet this is a good place to take time out and recharge your batteries.

This neo gothic edifice is pleasant enough to look at inside and out. It is distinguished by the yellow color of the brick that was used to build it. One of the few sights in Lodz that are worthwhile. Nice but not spectacular. Visit if you have free time in Lodz but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

Archcathedral Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka is an archcathedral basilica located in the centre of Łódź. The building committee was called in 1895 and the cornerstone was blessed on June 16, 1901, by Bishop of Warsaw Wincenty Teofil Popiel.

A grand building in yellow brick on a large plot. Preferred the outside to the inside as quite plain interior. A couple of things outside to look at as well.

A true Gothic masterpiece built between 1901 and 19 12, styled along the lines of a traditional medieval Cathedral. Damaged by fire in 1971, its been painstakingly restored.

Lovely cathedral both inside and out in a good, central location of the city. There were a few beggars stood outside which made me slightly anxious to get my camera out but it can't be helped.

In the centre, with the really nice inside. If you have chance to go up- I can also recommend. The view on the city from the top is amazing :)

We did a walking tour of Lodz. The Cathedral was on our tour and was very nice. Used by the Nazi's during their occupation
