The Botanic Garden ("Ogród Botaniczny" in Polish) also owns the Palm House in Łódź ("Palmiarnia" in Polish) which is also a beautiful place to visit and deserves it's own tourist attraction status. The Palm House's address is: ul. Piłsudskiego 61, Łódź, Poland. Information about both the Botanic Garden and the Palm House is available at the Garden's website (http://www.botaniczny.lodz.pl/) - unfortunately the English version of the site is rather basic in its content.

This is a lovely garden complex located across from the zoo. There are walking paths, a large lily pond, well-manicured gardens, hills to walk up, and only a minor entrance fee. You may see many school children who are there on field trips as well.

An interesting hour or so wandering around, but the areas devoted to flowers are fairly small so perhaps a little disappointing.

Very nice place in the city area. You can have a walk there and also rest a little from the city crowds and urbane areas. In may there are big exhibitions of tulips. Thousends of flowers. Very nice, calm and quite place.

I was so surprised when I stepped there the first time, I didn't imagine that in Lodz there is this place with hundreds of species, it was sunnyday and with the fresh smell of flowers, grass, small lakes there, it was really a paradise.

We came here at the beginning of Mai. All the flowers were at blossom. Beautiful park with nice landmarks. I recommend!

A calm and lovely place to escape the madness of the city, entry is cheap and the greenhouse is lovely and warm especially when you want to escape the ferocity of a Polish winter for an hour or 2.

I was suprised of this lovely garden. It's not the typical botanic garden, more like a park with trees and flowers with description next to them. But it was so big and quiet, I could stayed there for hours! There are some sun clocks and...More

The garden is a neat place, not big but full of plants. The entrance is paid but is cheap. In the inside is a interesting transition. You can explore greenhouses and a large outdoor garden.

A place to relax at the shore of a pond and to get away from the hustle of the city. Nice collection of plants for a person interested in gardening or in botany in general.
