The Basilica is not very far from Bydgoszcz Bus Station. I had visited the Basilica once before in winter, and had not appreciated its merits, as then it was a grey day. When I visited the Basilica in May 2012, it was on a bright sunny day. The architecture is in the Classic style, and the building is large. I liked the way the colours of the walls stood out subtly under the bright sunlight. I was also struck by the memorial to the Smolensk air crash. The next time I stay in Bydgoszcz I will make a point of visting the Basilica again, because I have not been in many buildings similar to its vast, spacious interior and the Classical style of architecture suits my tastes..

This magnificent church is always on my list to revisit whenever in Bydgoszcz. It is beautiful and impressive and always full of life. This time hosting musical performances and special event allowing the access to the top levels near the copula.

Totally impressive, beautiful interior. The artwork and lighting adds to what is a truly awesome (in the correct sense of the word) building.

Fabulous acoustics inside thanks to the dome. Lovely church and if Mirak the security guard is around he will play some of 'polands got talent' singers to let you experience the sound! Also if you get the chance, pay the 5zly and go up outside...More

As many told us (mainly because of our scarce experience of Bydgoszcz churches), this is the biggest church in the city. We went there once on an early summer Sunday, and we were gladly surprised by the opulent inside.

This big church is inspired by famous roman Pantheon and it is really visible inside. Worth a visit if you are a fan of interesting architecture or sacral art.

Beautiful massive building in the center of Bydgoszcz. Worth a visit not only for religious people. The area nearby is a great place for a stroll - Sielanka district, dzielnica muzyczna (music district) etc.

This grand church is magnificent inside and out. It impresses with beautiful architecture with classic proportions, powerful yet graceful appearance. It was built between 1925 and 1939 and I believe Nazis had some intentions of destroying this structure. Thankfully the Basilica survived and now is...More

All I can say is that, you must see yourself! The dome is an art work itself! The architecture and the art work inside is something to appreciate!

We visited the basilica on our last day in Bydgoszcz and wished we'd visited before then. The scale and magnitude of the building is breathtaking whilst the artwork is truly stunning. Well worth a visit although spend more time there than we did!
