Very moving in its humbleness. Leaves a powerful impression. A striking broader view of WWII and its atrocities unlike the narrow picture often sketched out by tourist places. Take time here and definitely read around on the internet before going to understand the context better...More

Highly recommended to all visitors in Zamosc City. This place may a bit sad but everyone should give it a visit to make sure we will remember what Germans did to others.......

The Nazi ( Germans ) created an execution site in the Zamość Rotunda. This was as part of the secret A-B Action, the deliberate extermination of the Polish intelligentsia. More than 8,000 people were massacred there, including displaced residents of the region and, later, Soviet...More

We did not realise that so many areas suffered so much under the Nazis. There seem to be death camps all over this part of Poland. Well worth a visit.

The Rotunda is an absolutely moving memorial to the tragedy in the Zamosc region. The simple displays in the Rotunda combined with the memorials in and surrounding the Rotunda highlight the brutality and horror of the Nazi occupation.

This is a very moving monument to the memory of the murdered...names of whole families listed on the walls....unbelievable that such horrific things were done......or maybe not....given what happens to this day...

This is relatively easy to find and only a 15 min walk from the main town. You have to go here to pay your respects and to realise that this massacre only happened just over 70 years ago. I was the only person here and...More

My Polish-American spouse took us here to a place I never knew existed. Outside the charming village of Zamosc with it's lovely square and people is this moving old fortification and surrounding cemetery of Nazi victims. Many Jewish as well as Soviet and Polish dead...More

A former fortification for Zamosc turned into an SS interrogation and holding centre for a variety of unfortunates. A really moving place and well worth a visit though few seem to these days. Worth a visit just to remind us of what the Poles suffered...More
