A place with interesting story

Lublin Castle is a great place to survive a rainy day. You can spend a lot of time in the museum and and castle buildings.

Lublin castle is a uniquely designed building. Inside there is lots to learn about the history on Lublin, the second world war and others.

Might have been a bad day but staff wasn't helpful for any of the questions we raised. The castle itself isn't very impressive but if you are in Lublin, you might want to visit.

The castle itself is a moderately interesting museum. The gem is the Royal Chapel, which is fully painted in gorgeous polychrome scenes that were covered in plaster until the 20th century. Not to be missed.

The castle Zamek, was used as a prison during WWII. The climb to the top of the tower gives you a great view of Lublin.

Last time I went on tour of the castle was a few years ago. From the outside the building is really pleasant to the eye. It is located almost in the centre of the city, on a small rise. Its walls are bright and one can see the building from afar. Inside looks equally impressive. There are lots of historical... More

The castle dominates the skyline, although it is set a little lower than the Old Town. It is free to enter the courtyard where there is a most pleasant small cafe. The museum itself is interesting and evocative, with an interesting selection of firearms. The view from the tower is rewarding, although there are a lot of stairs. A great... More

Once a royal castle, then a prison (used by the Nazi's during WW2), now a museum. Great view if you enter the castle tower, also at night.

We visited the Lublin Castle recently, only to learn that it was closed for a couple of days due to some festival. While we were unable to visit the rooms, we were able to walk around the interior courtyard. I'd love to go back to see the chapel's interior and other parts of this castle.
