As of today, seven systems of shelters and tunnels belonging to the “Komplex Riese” are known to exist in the Owl Mountains. The exact purpose of these facilities remains unclear even today. They are all of a similar design, corresponding to the layout of other of Adolf Hitler's subterranean headquarters.

No one really knows about the purpose of this tunnel system. The suffering of the prisoners is unimaginable. The tours are in polish, and the tunnels are freezing, bring lots of warm clothes. The polish tour guide spends an awful long time at each stop...More

Very interesting visit to these tunnels and caves. The only thing we found was that as English speaking people, we were given the audio guide to listen to-but the Polish tour guide spent a lot longer speaking to the other visitors, and we were stood...More

The rumours surrounding the intention of these unfinished caves may well be one of those things to which we will never know the answer but visiting the complex enables you to understand the vastness of the project and the dangers the workers would have gone...More

One of the biggest constructions conducted by Nazi Germany during WW2 as a part of secret project codename Riese. Very misterious place with different theories surrounding it. Important notes: - Think about this place more like huge abandoned mine or construction site can be demending...More

After reading reviews from TA, I found it quite challenging to visit the place. Fortunately, I discovered the Vratislava private tour which can take us to this place. The Project Riese at Osowka is almost a two hours drive from Wroclaw. After arriving, without following...More

My partner and I rented a car because we wanted to visit Project Riese. It's 85 km from Wroclaw but quite a drive through the midlands. We reached Osowka in 100 minutes. The tour goes almost each hour in the summer, but is also only...More
