Our Apartment is at this square, so it’s hard to miss. Lovely water feature that lights up at night. Places to sit and some restaurants etc dotted about. Much smaller and much quieter than the main square

Calm and pleasant square compared to the main square. There is a fountain here which in the summer can be a nice place for children. When I was there the fountain didn't work. There are plenty of places to eat in the area. Music concerts are often held here in the summer.

One of my favourite square's in Krakow and despite it only being a short walk from Main Market Square ( Rynek ) it's a much less touristic square and has a great atmosphere to it.
I've been travelling to Krakow for close to 30 years ,I remember this square when it was more or less an ugly car park and taxi rank ,the beautiful Art Nouveau town houses were covered in years of car pollution ,I vividly remember the concrete flower beds with no flowers in ,in 2008 a metamorphoses occurred and two years later and millions of Zloty's invested this square was rejuvenated again ,the buildings here are amazing to view now ,the Old Theatre,Palace Of Fine Arts are beautiful buildings, one of the most striking features of this square is the wonderful illuminated fountain ,I love visiting this square ,I much prefers it to Maly Rynek and Rynek ,the pubs, bars, cafés and restaurants that line this square are superb ,all in all it's a great square to check out if you're planning a trip to Krakow.

Ok square located easy walking distance from the main square. There were a few modern pink statues here the first day we came but they were not there when we returned the day later - not bothered as they were crap.
Some nice bars around here.

Just one block 500m NW from the main square easy to find with a map. If you get the pronunciation right, you could also ask locals as they all know where it is. Szczepan is Polish for Stephen. There used to be church with cemetery named after Saint Stephen at the site. So many churches and catholic saints in Krakow, this one (Szczepan) stoned to death in 34 AD after being accused of blasphemy.

Since 2010 the square is not a parking lot anymore, but well renovated and now a pleasant place to take a break from other more crowded parts of the old town. To my regret the fountain was not working, perhaps because of the autumn setting in. However, the Art Nouveau facades of some of the buildings lining the square is well worth to have a closer look at.

This square is a short walk away from the main square with few tourists. It is a traditional square with imposing buildings all around and the Art Deco Palace of Fine Arts Gallery in front a nice fountain. Grab a drink or Ice Cream, sit and while away some time away from the bustle of the main square.

Szczepanski Square was built at the beginning of the nineteenth century. It was after the demolition of two churches – St. Stephen (Polish: Szczepan) and St. Matthias.  Within the square there is located one of the most impressive buildings in Krakow – the Palace of Art.

One of the smaller squares in Krakow but still nice for a walk round or to sit on one of the benches. There’s a fountain there and plenty of seating. It’s also fairly easy to get to
