Small museum but delightful, quirky and interesting, with some nice touches, just off the main square. Good information and not too busy so plenty of space to see the rooms at their best.

This is a great little gem of a museum! It was nice, after seeing so many palaces, to see how a merchant would have lived. Each room had a card in English describing family life and the items in the rooms (staff were not as...More

Came across this museum by accident in the market square - saw the shop window. Very interesting old town house complete with a cat, I loved the history. There is a good cafe and wonderful shop. Worth a visit!

It is always fascinating to see how societies change and live down the centuries and here is a remarkable illustration of how one segment, the wealthy, lived. Occupying a grand townhouse and over a couple of floors, rooms have been refurbished to exhibit the pleasures...More

Two floors of interiors and the cafe served tasty dumplings and was very laid back. The service was good but small glasses of wine( 100 ml).

A true-to-life image of what the living spaces of a Polish bourgeois/merchant family looked like centuries ago: cosy interiors, style and elegance, no extravaganzas;a joy to the eye those exquisite pieces of furniture and antiques. It was like a journey back in time, a daydreaming...More

It was not easy to find out this place though it is behind the St. Mary's Church. It is a museum showcasing the interiors of an old bourgeoisie household. Worth visiting on a Wednesday only as the entry is free on Wednesdays !

If we did not have the TripAdvisor app we would not have known this was here. An inconspicuous entrance (see photo) behind St Mary's and almost on the main square leds to one of Krakows gems. If you want to understand the trauma of 1939¬1945...More

We're now into the 21st century and where we stand in this fine old home is where the Hipolit family stood at the end of the 16th century. It's a very odd feeling. The building itself is even older than that and the collections themselves...More

It's not very big, I would say an hour at the most.
