The New Square ( Plac Nowy ) is one of the best area's of the Jewish Quarter ( Kazimierz ) to visit .
The square has a wonderful brick rotunda that was once a poultry Slaughterhouse right upto the German occupation of World War Two, nowadays the rotunda serves as food hatches were you can enjoy zapiekanki ( Polish pizza ) in several delicious flavours or Belgium style fries or Turkish meals, its just a superb centrepiece to this square ,the square itself is all pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants, its awesome for a night out and busy ,my twin brother and I were here most every night on our recent weeks holiday in February, square was always busy and bustling,a great atmosphere, if you're planning a holiday to Krakow it's a square and area to most definitely check out.

Plenty of bars around the square. Lots of seats outside to watch the world go by. Plenty of good option too when you’ve had enough to drink. Polish pizza is divine and less than £4 for a massive piece. We had ours cut into 2 pieces and that was enough. They have market stalls selling various items. Books, clothes, souvenirs etc etc.

The New Square ( Plac Nowy ) is a must go destination for me and my twin brother Stephen on any trip to Krakow we take .
Place Nowy is a square in the Kazimierz District ,the square dominated by a large round structure which contains many fast food outlets ranging from kiosk's serving zapiekanka which are the famous Polish pizza to Belgium fries and Turkish doner kebab meals ,this is a very popular destination for locals and tourists alike ,all around this square are lots of pubs, bars and restaurants ,it's a bit of a party square which I love to visit.
We were here most days on our five days in Krakow,it's the beating heart of the Kazimierz District ,the food here is awesome ,we sampled zapiekanka every visit and went the fries kiosk called Fryki Belgijskie W Okraglaku ,fries here are amazing ,we also went The Doner House for a kebab ,totally delicious ,the pubs and bars around the square are equally as good ,we visited Zakaski I Wodka,Le Scanale Bar,Nowy Kraftowy,Pijalnia Wodki I Piwa Alchemia ,Les Couleurs Cafe,Komisariat ,Singer ,Plac Nowy 1,Sekta Selekta mSuperNowa Resto Music Bar over the duration of our five days holiday ,had a great time in this vibrant square and area, all in all it's a great square and area to visit if you're planning on visiting Krakow.

Depending on what time and what day you get a different vibe. Vendors surround the individual pizza bread makers. We went early so about 20% open. A must quick see when in krakow

The square has a round building in the middle, which has windows where you can order food, including the zapiekanka (pizza). It is delicious; however, there's really nowhere to sit and eat, unless it's on the curb. There are also some stalls with souvenirs. The whole square is pretty gritty and dirty, and there was a group of people using drugs out in the open when we were there. I'm pretty tolerant, but I wouldn't go back.

Covid-times have done hard for this place. Much of modern delis of NYC owe to this place, but you cant really see that anymore in here. Used to be ages a go beating heart of jewish culinary heritage. Not that you would notice any of that visiting here today.

Thats just depressing. But go - go and spend a dime for the sake of better days to come.

An interesting area in the Kazimierz district, with a flea market and a lot of paces selling food, inclusive Zapiekanki ( a must try).
