The Franciscans arrived in Kraków in 1237 and work on the construction of the church started in 1255. After the Swedish invasion which caused much damage, the church was rebuilt in Baroque style, but the great fire of Kraków in 1850 damaged the church again....More

This is free to enter. A wonderful building, both for its architecture, and magnificent interior. There are several Art Nouveau stained glass windows. If you're lucky, choose a sunny day, when the windows are breathtaking in their beauty. The vaulted ceiling and altar are also...More

Krakow has a lot of stunning churches, but the Franciscan is my favorite. It combines medieval features with stunning modern stained glass, including the justly famous "Father" at the rear of the nave. Well worth spending some time here, soaking up the powerful feel of...More

Located in Old Town, this church has beautifully tiled/painted walls and ceiling (but almost to gaudy) and beautifully carved columns. Did not care that much for the modern stained glass windows

I particularly enjoy seeing examples of art nouveau architecture and the Church doesn't disappoint. It is well worth a visit and is easy to reach as it's fairly central

The church is not on the top attractions list, but it absolutely deserves the spot. It has the most beautiful interiors inside. The floral wall decoration looks lovely, but the stained glass windows designed by Stanislaw Wyspianski are breathtaking. The one on the western wall...More
