We were strolling along the old city wall when all of a sudden we came across this structure. It's beautiful with the garden on the side. It looks almost like one of those palaces one sees in many European cities. It's built in the Baroque style in 1893, so it's less old than one would think. We didn't go inside.

This theater looks beautiful from outside and it's even more beautiful inside. The Baroque style is nite in every area of this building. It's nearly 120 years since first performance in this theater. It's big part of Polish culture and important place in Krakow's culture. Many famous actors, directors and artists put a piece of talent into this project.
Our tour took about 90 minutes. It was worth to be there.
I recommend this place.

It's a historic 19th-century venue staging concerts, theatrical performances & other events. It's located near St. Florian's Gate and down from St. Mary's Basilica. It's an amazing building with beautiful architecture both exterior and interior.

At end of September I had visited Teatr Słowackiego to quite famous performance "Tango Piazzolla".
The performance was outstanding specially the Great music, played live by the band "Tango Bridge" led by Grzegorz Frankowski, they played the most beautiful hits of Piazzolla and obviously passionate tango that will take us into the world of the senses and desires.
Ofcourse you must see this in fantastic interiors of Slowacki Theatre, which was designed by Jan Zawiejski, is ranked among the most valuable monuments of theatre architecture in Europe.
There is an inscription of its façade: “Kraków for the National Arts”. Interiors are decorated with frescoes by Viennese artist Anton Tuch and the famed curtain by Henryk Siemiradzki.
Juliusz Słowacki Theatre has continuously been playing a unique role in cultural landscape of Kraków. It stages important, high quality plays which vividly comment the present days but also creatively allude to Polish and European tradition.

This practically the National Theater of Krakow. It was built at the end of the 19.th century. It is very imposant already from outside, but the inner decoration is superb. It is a very important cultural establishment of Krakow.

Named in honour of the great Polish playwright Juliusz Slowacki and constructed by 1892 ,this is one of the most ornate and grand theatre's ive ever seen not just in Krakow but anywhere in Poland and I've been to lots of cities in this fantastic country.
Built in the wonderful Baroque style of architecture that is so pleasing on the eye, it's not only the theatre that looks superb ,the grounds also look fantastic ,well kept and adds to the beauty of viewing this superb theatre,it's location is also great, near the Barbican and St Florian's Gate and the magnificent Old Town.
Easy to locate on Plac Ulica Ducha and well worth checking out.
