The square and its history are interesting. This is the best place to catch the free tours for Krakow Old Town, the Castle and Jewish District. We found that it is a bit more expensive to eat around the square or shop there and not...More

The market at night was the best, the smell of food is just fab, lots on offer, not a huge market, lots of stalls with jewellery and Christmas decorations

The place everyone visiting Krakow heads for but somehow feels fairly relaxed and when we visited easy to get a drink and some food. The square is characterised by the market place in the centre and St Mary's Basilica to one corner and seating areas...More

Large square with some impressive buildings around it. The market takes centre stage. We enjoyed the singing of local choirs on the stage. Good atmosphere walking amongst the stalls. Not bad food prices although queues were very long on a Saturday.

Since it’s near Christmas, there were many stalls selling Christmas stuff from toys to handmade jewelry to home deco. There are a lot of eating places too both at stall and in the restaurant nearby!
