During the afternoon at 1pm when I was there a bugler plays from one of the arches atop the church. It's a pretty impressive structure at the corner of the market square. 10 zloty i think it was to enter for tourists around the side...More

Interesting architecture and decoration although the guide leaflet you receive with your ticket was not particularly descriptive to explain what you are looking at

Popped inside for a look and the interior is stunning. Learned about the architecture on a free walking tour of Old Town. Our guide pointed out the asymmetrical towers and the history behind them.

So beautiful! The inside was so ornate and so many people and so many masses. The mass is said in Latin so for us older generation we did recognise some bits!

I think this is the most beautiful Basilica in Krakow. It’s absolutely amazing. You don’t have to miss it. It’s free of charge and it’s located at the Main square.

Tickets can be obtained from office across from the side entrance for tourists. Locals can enter through the back for no charge but cannot reach the alter. No photography allowed inside. Beautiful to see.

I was very moved by the beauty of this church. The exterior of the building is fairly plain, although it is large and quite tall. The interior is stunningly beautiful with gold and red and blues and black. It is a peaceful place to reflect...More

The interior of this church is quite impressive, especially the altarpiece. The best part, visible from the outside, is the bugler who signals every hour from the church tower, and then waves to the people below.

They take your ticket from you. Buildings like this cost millions to keep going. It's a tiny price to pay to maintain our history for our future generations. To try and get two people in on one ticket would be wrong and... More

The Altar is opened just before noon and, from what I remember the guide saying, it closes just after 17.00. I wanted to see the Altar closed but never managed to return in time. I hope this helps.
