This is an absolute must if you go to Krakow, very emotional but a part of history we also went to Birkenau and walked the railway line, also a huge piece of history but not as emotional as Aushwitz

Our tour guide in Auschwitz was cold and disconnected. He made me feel as if I was wasting my time visiting this place...then...he wanted us to tip him....I DONT THINK SO.

A friend told me that she found her visit to Auschwitz harrowing. We did not find it so. We thought it was extremely interesting and somewhat humbling but feel anyone in visiting the area should take time to take the tour. Our only issue was...More

I read all about Auschwitz and seen many films about the period but you have to visit to see and feel the pain these poor people had to suffer. The train carriage, the human hair and the gas chambers become all too real for comfort

I would not call this a tourist attraction, but a homage to those who suffered and died here. Until I visited did not fully comprehend the scale of the suffering and death that occurred. I was aware that a huge number of people were of...More

Mentally draining and emotional place to visit, and quite a long tiring day of walking about. Didn't see any many young children on the tour I did so all in all maybe not the best thing for a young child to do?
