We suggest you to start this tour at Kazimierz – the former Jewish district – to understand the Jews, their religion, customs and culture and their role in Europe. A visit to Kazimierz presents a unique opportunity to see how the Jewish community was organized and how it coexisted with Catholics for more than 600 years. Our guides will tell you not only about Jews who lived in Krakow, but also about their history in general, which will allow you to understand the tragedy of Holocaust. We will also show you the places that create the special atmosphere of Kazimierz now, and try to explain why Poland without the Jewish minority is a different country. Afterwards, you will visit Auschwitz-Birkenau, the former Nazi concentration camp. Auschwitz concentration camp is situated about 70 km from Krakow – our journey will take us about 1h 15 min. The tour begins with a 17-minutes documentary about the history and the liberation of the camp. Then an expert guide shows you the gas chamber, the crematorium and the exhibition in some of the surviving prison blocks. We continue to Birkenau to see this largest of all Nazi extermination camps. Here we see the entrance gate known as the gate of Death and the wooden barracks.

Great tour, could spend hours walking round and some really good videos and interactive stuff! However I felt there was a lack of information about Schindler himself and the factory. Other than that it was great! Free wifi and also free cloak room!

We were unsure about visiting Auschwitz and although it is a deeply moving and saddening experience, it is well worth seeing if for no other reason but to honour those who perished there. Schindler's factory gave a comprehensive history of the war years 1939-45 so helps you to get a handle on what was happening in Poland. Leave yourself a... More

The museum is not just about Schindler but the Second World War. We walked there from the old city and had a guided tour, but this is not really necessary. Everything is signed in English. Great place to find out about the history of Poland.

No trip to Kraków would be complete without a trip to Auschwitz and Schindler's factory. First any tour to Auschwitz is well worth it but I can't recommend a private tour highly enough as they pick you up from you hotel and drop you back so no all around the hotels before and after. The tours of Auschwitz are allocated... More

Very informative tour. The tour started off near hotel where they filmed Schindlers List and continued around the area looking at different film locations. We were then taken to the spot where Schndler saw the little girl in the red coat was seen running. Next part was to be taken into the original ghetto and be informed what happened here.... More

If you have a real interest in the Nazi occupation of Poland then it's well worth paying a visit. There are a number of artifacts to view, and some audio visual screens that are subtitled, the majority of exhibits are photos and documents with English translation. If you are intent on reading everything it will take many hours to get... More

This museum is in the actual factory building that Schindler had during the Second World War It is a thought provoking wonderful museum which has actual photographs and memorabilia from that time which was quite chilling The tiled floors were white with swatstikas which were a terrible sight and they had the large floor to ceiling red and white swatstikas... The factory was very interesting but I would have liked to see more about schindler himself and more facts about the jews that he saved, they seemed to have overlooked that and concentrated more on the ghettos and horrors of the war. We went on a Monday and I was free to go in. They have a small café there... More

This tour is worth taking so you can see what one person did to try to save the Jews. They display the pots and pans that were manufactured. This manufacturing was not needed but Schindler did this to save the Jews from concentration camp. Unfortunately, this factory was ultimately dismantled and the Jews were shipped off to concentration camp.
