The exhibitions were okay. Be mindful that there are temporary exhibitions. Nice for a good stroll if you're into any art or history topics.

The museum is quite hidden, with a tiny plaque on the door. I had to ask at the Museum of Contemporary Art opposite where it was!
There were more staff than visitors, even on Saturday when entrance is free. Although the staff fled the rooms when I entered, presumably because of previous comments where they followed visitors around.
The contents of the museum weren't extensive but had quality. Old seals from 800 years before. Some ancient gold and silver plate. Beautiful medieval jewellery. Clothing. Currency.
There were no English translations at all.
Such a shame there were so few visitors. The marketing of the museum should be better, the explanation on displays, and certainly better signage outside.

The National Museum is diveded on multiple sites around the city. All of them are accessible for free on saturday. The presentations are very diverse and you will certainly find something that fits your liking.

The museum was very interesting, and the different displays were very well done! There was also a huge collection of model ships from all over the world.

We like to visit a museum and choose the national museum for this trip. It was divided in two buildings. The first one was modern art and I didn't get it. It looked like just objects and work of a mad person. I think the theme was music but I am not sure at all. You can skip this part of the museum.
The second building was more traditional. They have beautiful paintings and an amazing collection of old local coins and treasures There was also a very interesting African art part.

This has some beautiful artifacts in it but as I do not read Polish, it was difficult for me to really enjoy since I couldn't read any of the info beside them. There was some English info too, but not as much.

Came here from the promenade, partly to get out of the midday heat. The staff let us walk straight past them and gave us funny looks, then chased us and demanded we pay the entrance fee which was a bit silly. They followed us round while we were looking at the exhibits which was a bit weird. However the exhibits themselves are great! I loved the African sections best. The variety between the national heritage stuff and areas looking at other cultures and countries was great! I saw things I've never seen in England and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, regardless of the strange staff!

There seemed to be me and 6/8 security people only in the building. They appeared to follow me around. Was asked to show my ticket no less than 3 times in 15mins.
I like museums but didn't rate this that much. I large exhibit of African ethnic costumes, that didn't float my boat for someone looking for local history/culture.
Exterior of building was more impressive than the displays.
