Located at the river end of the Long Market I found it interesting but nothing special. What I did find of interest outside the gate & to its left is a plaque indicating where future leader Lech Walensa had his office.

Historic place which is interesting to see but it could be done and kept in better shape and with more sophistication.

An impressive entrance to a beautiful old town. The gate is the entrance to the town, and is right on the canal. Great photo op.

The Green gate is one of the possible entries to dluga street. It is on the river side. It has four arches and beautiful architecture.

What a beautiful entry to lovely old Gdansk! The Green Gate and fine row of renovated waterfront buildings adjacent make a picture perfect scene. It made a great first impression of the town, and good spot for a souvenir selfie. 😀

Nice place on the river Motlawa connecting the long market, it looked a bit renovated but still has the feel of Old Town. It's full of cafes, bars, restaurants with a giant wheel ( I'd call it "the Gdansk eye")

This gate marks the beginning of an area coming under complete redevelopment. When it is done, the entire area should be incredible. Right now there are cranes everywhere, and worth a visit from an urban planning prosepective.

Built to house visiting royalty, it is no wonder that this ornate entry to the city was created. Even though we weren't royalty, we sure felt like some when entering through this "palace" style archway to the beautiful pedestrian street.

Not a site in itself (it is clearly visible from a lot of other sites in the old town) it nonetheless acts as a nice architectural element to the overall presentation of the old town square. Those used to the street vendors selling toys and...More
